  • Steven Monacelli elected to Evanston City Council Committee

ASG Community Relations Vice President Steven Monacelli has been selected to serve as a member of the Evanston City Government Committee on Landlord Licensing, and will be officially confirmed by City Council on January 23, 2012. The committee will look into the possibility of implementing an ordinance requiring landlords to license their rental units in a similar fashion to the way businesses must have a license to operate. Such an ordinance will allow for better enforcement of safety and quality of life regulations and has great potential to be beneficial to students.
