Apply to ACIR!

You are invited to apply for the ACIR, the advisory committee on investment responsibility. Each year, two students are chosen to advise the board of trustees after the work of the Unshackle NU and NUdivest movements on-campus.

We are committed to honoring the work at those students and ensuring that activism is solidified into insertional change. We encourage anyone who has been involved with investment responsibility activism or is passionate about the issue to apply. The application will take about 15 minutes, and the deadline has been extended to Sunday at 11:59 pm. The interviews will take place Monday or Tuesday, and we would be happy to do them virtually. The time commitment is a monthly meeting and work outside on proposals for the board.

Community Dialogues

Improve NU Challenge

The Improve NU Challenge is a pitch competition focused on empowering students to implement their ideas to improve students' everyday experiences at NU.
From course selection to finding affordable housing, many students have great ideas to improve the student experience but are unable to implement them because they lack the resources and knowledge to navigate the system. In partnership with the Office of Student Affairs and The Garage, the Improve NU Challenge empowers students in how to implement those changes, something ASG does every day.
